What you'll need
¾ cup coconut sugar
½ cup cacao powder
125g butter
¼ cup maple syrup
4 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¾ cups Lo-Fo Pantry Plain Flour
2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoon sea salt
2 teaspoon baking powder

Process
Step 1
Prepare a round 20cm cake tin by greasing it with butter then lining it
Step 2
Pre-heat oven to 180oC
Step 3
Melt butter in a small saucepan, add maple syrup and stir to combine
Step 4
Set aside to slightly cool and add the vanilla
Step 5
Add sugar and cacao powder to a large mixing bowl
Step 6
Add butter, maple mix and vanilla mix to the sugar and cacao, stir in well
Step 7
Add 1 egg at a time, mixing well in each time
Step 8
Now add the flour, salt, cinnamon and baking powder to the large bowl of above ingredients and combine well
Step 9
Pour mixture into prepared tin and bake for approximately 45 minutes
Step 10
Cool in the pan before removing
Step 11
Add to a cake tray or bread board and decorate with your favourite Easter fun decorations!
