This low FODMAP Marble Cake is the perfect centre piece for your next party! Super quick and easy to make but absolutely delicious. Best served warm with buttercream, whipped cream or ice cream!
What you'll need
1 ½ cups Lo-Fo Pantry Plain Flour
½ cup low FDOMAP self raising flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
250g butter
½ cup caster sugar
½ cup brown sugar
3 eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 tablespoon cacao powder

Process
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 160C and grease a 2.5L bundt pan or equivalent with softened butter.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave.
Step 3
Add the caster sugar, brown sugar, eggs and oil to the butter and whisk to combine.
Step 4
Sift in the flours, baking powder and salt and whisk until smooth.
Step 5
Pour half the batter into a smaller bowl. Add vanilla essence into one half of the mixture, and the cacao into the other half, whisking until smooth.
Step 6
Add half the vanilla mixture to the cake pan, followed by half the chocolate mixture. On top of this, add the remaining vanilla and the remaining chocolate.
Step 7
Bake the cake in the oven for 60 minutes or until pulling away from the tin slightly and an inserted skewer comes out clean.
Step 8
Serve with buttercream, whipped cream or ice cream!
