Bake these Strawberry Crumble Bars and enjoy as a mid-morning snack – delicious served with a cup of tea or coffee!
What you'll need
600g strawberries, chopped
¾ cup brown sugar
1 ½ cups Lo-Fo Pantry Plain Flour
165g salted butter
1 ½ cups oats

Process
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180C and grease and line a standard square baking tin.
Step 2
In a large saucepan, cook the chopped strawberries down until soft and liquid is thickened.
Step 3
In a large bowl, melt the butter and combine with the sugar, flour and oats until a dough forms.
Step 4
Press half the dough into the baking tin and bake for 10min until golden.
Step 5
Pour the strawberries over the base and crumble the remaining dough over the top. Bake for a further 30min until golden.
